Friday!

Well this morning we got up and ready for co-op, bright n' early! I was scrambling around with only an hour to pack lunches, pack clothes for the weekend, and get myself and ready. But we ended up getting there on time, unharmed, and all in one piece!

Tomorrow I'm going with some of our youth group and friends to a Bellarive (an amazingly awesome Christian band) concert. And fterwords, we're all going back to Emilee and Kaylee's and spending the night to go to miss Cindy's adoption fundraiser the next day. It's going to be quite the weekend=)

While Jude and Zane are going to be spending the night at Kara and Stefen's, going to church with them in the morning and then to an airsoft party. Which I can assure you they are astatic about. What boy wouldn't wanna have food, friends, and an airsoft war?!?!

So we are all looking forward to our weekend! haha Which has began today at Tanya's, going swimming, watching a movie and eating ice cream. After co-op, (which went really well) we got to Skype with mom and dad for about an hour and a half. Jenny and I were literally in the middle of putting together a salad, when the genius thought came to my head- skype! We dropped everything then and there, and grabbed the laptop. Thankfully, they were online at the time! Jude and Zane were caught up in their video games with Chay in the other room so it was mainly just a conversation between mom, Jenny, and I ;) Later that evening, Tanya and Noah picked us up and brought us back to their house.....and so here we are! Jude, Zane, and Noah are currently laying in the living room watching some animated pirate movie and eating popcorn. While I catch up on blogging.

A Screen Apart

This morning we went to the Coffee Barn to FaceTime with Kole, mom, and dad! For those of you who are 'out of the loop' Kole's gotcha day was this morning (around 2am for us). They have him for GOOD. He is legally a House and he is NEVER going back to an orphanage! Ever.

He is doing sooo well and is seriously the sweetest kid. We would call him "Kolya" and wave and he smiled and waved back=) We played peek-a-boo and even heard some sounds coming from him, like he was trying to talk. I even watched him reach for my dad and give him a big hug. I can't wait till that's him and I! They applied for his passport and should get it this Tuesday. Which would mean them being home next Friday! Just eight more days!!!! We are astatic!!

Kole got to meet his new aunt Kara, his newest big brothers, Jude, Zane, and Gabe. And of course, me ;) I'm not sure he could remember or recognize me through the screen but maybe once I can actually see him again in person. Face to face. Can't wait to wrap my arms around him!!! And never let him go! <3

Love all three of you!! Miss you!

Let's Play Catch Up!

Yes, I now need to play catch up on blogging! Since our internet is STILL down, we don't often get a chance to be at a place that has decent wi-fi. But today we made sure we got to Kara's so that we could skype with mom and dad and get the 401 on everything. Basically, court went wonderfully, they weren't able to break Kole out (or apply for his visa) because of all the time the paperwork took up. So tomorrow morning (around 2am time) Kole will be out of that orphanage for good! And we will than know when they are going to be coming home, and if dad needs to come back earlier. But the most exciting thing of all, is that I now legally have five brothers!!!!! Yes, I said FIVE. Kole is an orphan NO more and now has an official name, with "House" at the end of it! Introducing...............................................................................

 Kole Luka House

Since Jude, Zane, and I all have middle names after a family member, Luka is a mixture of our two uncles Adam and Luke. Kole's birth-given name is Mykola (pronounced mi-cola) so that is what we are keeping as his first name on his birth certificate. But we will call him Kole.

Now an update on us here in the US!

Sunday- We got all the boys ready and out (on time!) to slum church. Afterwords, Jude and Zane both went to the Buchanan's and I went with my friends Emilee and Kaylee to their house. That night, we all met back up at The Coffee Barn for The Barn worship service. It was great, very powerful worship and testimony. We hung out there till around 8:30 then headed home and climbed in bed.

Monday- Our wonderful babysitter, miss Cindy Boyer, comes from a large family (including her eight bio kids and her little one they are in the process of bringing home from EE!). So since her son and daughter in-law are in town, they all met up at our house for dinner. There were 18 people, total, in our house that night. I just love big families! Reminded a lot of the family get-togethers we have! That night, around nine o'clock when everyone started heading out, a couple of the guys were wrestling in the living room. It was quite interesting to watch. Of course Jude and Zane had to try afterwords. We ended up all sitting on the couches, watching Jude and Zane wrestle each other while they were given pointers and new tricks to try out....oh joy.

Tuesday- We went to The Coffee Barn around 10:30am for breakfast. It was any boys' heaven. They each got a ginormous cinnamon roll and played MineCraft. What could be better for a 5 and 7 year old right? Miss Lisa and her daughters, Kaylee and Emilee met us there around 12 and we talked and hung out for about an hour. Kaylee and Emilee both came home with us afterwords. On the way home, we stopped by miss Cindy's daughter, Jennifer's house. We were there for about half an hour or so before we headed home. We were all crazy hungry, as it was about 3:30 and we still hadn't had lunch. So as soon as we got home we rushed to the kitchen. I had promised Kaylee and Emilee pressed turkey and cheese sandwiches but after we got everything out and ready, we found the provolone cheese was molded. Why? I have no idea, since the expiration date was set for December this year. But we were all looking forward to those sandwiches. So I found a brand new block of sharp cheddar cheese and sliced those up. They turned out amazing, and I think we all wanted more ;) Later that night, miss Cindy took Gabe and Levi to therapy.

Wednesday- Well I already explained most of our morning. So basically, we left for Kara's around 12:30, stopped at Dollar General so I could run in and pick up something for miss Cindy, then got to Kara's and skyped with mom and dad. And now, we are just getting ready to go to church.

We love you mom and dad! And Kole Luka! See you all SOON! <3

Coffe Barn, Co-op, Tissues, and More!

Sorry for the late update! Our internet has been out so I'm just gonna try to cover our last few days here....

Well Wednesday was our "lazy sick stay at home all day" day. We have all (even our lovely babysitter, Ms. Cindy) gone through some sort of sickness now. Between nasty colds and fevers, it's hit us all. I was the tail end of it all, landing a lovely cold, and luckily no fever. Ms. Cindy had some errands to run almost all day so Jude, Zane, and I spent the day at home in our pajamas :)
Thursday I woke up feeling a lot better, still had the stuffy nose, but was up for taking a trip to The Coffee Barn that afternoon. Jude and Zane brought their few dollars that mom and dad gave them before they left, to spend at The Coffee Barn. Zane picked out his fav, a cinnamon roll, which of course they gave him THE biggest one there topped with a jumbo amount of icing. Jude got a cappuccino muffin, and they both shared a large sprite. Hello sugar rush!

Ffrriiidddaaayyy- This morning Jude came to my bed at 7:30 waking me up for co-op.We walked out the door at almost 9 o'clock....got there as they were just finishing up the devotions and opening announcements. Then afterwords, at like 1:45 we were heading out with miss Jenny and Chay to the park. We of course, had to stop for frosties from Wendy's ;) As soon as we got to their house we set up Skype with mom and dad...and that has been our day so far! The boys are all playing MineCraft and miss Jenny is making spaghetti and meatballs for dinner=)

Aunt Kara's, Video Games, Softball and Rain

Today we worked on school, then got picked up by Kara to spend the day with her. We took a grocery run to Walmart, then went back to Kara and Stefen's house. Jude and Zane of course, ran straight to the play station. After getting settled we got Skype up with mom and dad. We got to talk for about an hour or so, before they went to bed (since it was almost 10pm for them). Kara and I watched a movie while working on some crafts. The boys were litteraly counting down until Stefen got home from work. Once he did, Kara had made breakfast for dinner! We had pancakes and bacon, finished off with juice boxes.

By the time we were done eating, we had to get everyting together and ready for the softball game. A few different churches had formed a softball league and tonight was their very first game. Jude and Zane's guinea pigs had been with us all day, so they of course got to enjoy the game as well=) Just a few minutes after arriving, it began drizzling rain. Jude, Zane, and I played a round of Go Fish, just before it started pouring. Before we knew it, there was a crowd of people huddled under umbrellas and a small roof over the dugouts and building there. The game only lasted four innings before they called it to an end because of the pouring rain. The two teams were tied four to four.

We were all carrying soaking wet blankets, cards, snacks and bags, through the mud to the car. Jude and Zane had been running all over, in the rain, so they were both dreanched. They carried their guinea pigs to the car in a wicker basket (don't worry, we covered the top with a blanket). Kara and Stefen talked to my dad a little on Skype, on the way home, to fill him on on the game. We then listened to a song singing about "boogie shoes" which of course had  Zane cracking up. All of us kept telling him not to fall a sleep (since he's always grumpy when he wakes up), so we were trying to keep him laughing. Litteraly a few seconds before we pulled into our yard, he was giggling. Then as soon as we got out of the car he started crying. I guess that's what a tired five year old looks like. We came inside and washed off all the mud and rain, then got nice and comfy in our PJ's :)

Looking forward to a new day tomorrow! Mom, dad, we all LOVE you and MISS you both SO much!!! We're counting down the days until you're all home!

Sunday Surprise

So this weekend, Jude, Zane, and I spent the night at our good friends' the Buchannan's house. We went to church with them this morning, and came back to Kara and Stefen's for a little surprise. Since Jude and Zane have been begging for guinea pigs, our family thought it would be nice to surprise them with one (which ended up becoming two). They talked it over and got mom and dad on board. So Tanya, Adam, and Kara planned a little afternoon for us. We of course, had to watch G-Force (the boys' all time favorite) and at the end of the movie, we brought out the two guinea pigs. A few minutes before the movie ended, we set up Skype with our parents so they could be apart of it too. (the boys had no idea they were watching)

I rolled out the guinea pigs in their little 'balls' and Jude's first reaction was "I have to go to the bathroom." And so he went off, probably a little embarrassed/shy. I had to literally carry Zane over to the middle of the floor to see them. I think they were both a little timid and cautious at first. Jude said he first thought they were just fake, "like the battery activated ferrets at Cracker Barrel". Nope! They're positively real!

We spent about an hour or so Skyping with mom and dad. Dad was streaming the Minnesota Vikings game, and mom was talking to Jude and Zane about their new pets. Zane has named his Peaches, and Jude has chosen Juarez (from G-Force) for his. *in case you were wondering, both the guinea pigs are females*

(pictures coming soon....) Thanks Adam, Amber, Tanya, Kara, Stefen, and mom and dad for the newest additions to the fam=)
