Aunt Kara's, Video Games, Softball and Rain

Today we worked on school, then got picked up by Kara to spend the day with her. We took a grocery run to Walmart, then went back to Kara and Stefen's house. Jude and Zane of course, ran straight to the play station. After getting settled we got Skype up with mom and dad. We got to talk for about an hour or so, before they went to bed (since it was almost 10pm for them). Kara and I watched a movie while working on some crafts. The boys were litteraly counting down until Stefen got home from work. Once he did, Kara had made breakfast for dinner! We had pancakes and bacon, finished off with juice boxes.

By the time we were done eating, we had to get everyting together and ready for the softball game. A few different churches had formed a softball league and tonight was their very first game. Jude and Zane's guinea pigs had been with us all day, so they of course got to enjoy the game as well=) Just a few minutes after arriving, it began drizzling rain. Jude, Zane, and I played a round of Go Fish, just before it started pouring. Before we knew it, there was a crowd of people huddled under umbrellas and a small roof over the dugouts and building there. The game only lasted four innings before they called it to an end because of the pouring rain. The two teams were tied four to four.

We were all carrying soaking wet blankets, cards, snacks and bags, through the mud to the car. Jude and Zane had been running all over, in the rain, so they were both dreanched. They carried their guinea pigs to the car in a wicker basket (don't worry, we covered the top with a blanket). Kara and Stefen talked to my dad a little on Skype, on the way home, to fill him on on the game. We then listened to a song singing about "boogie shoes" which of course had  Zane cracking up. All of us kept telling him not to fall a sleep (since he's always grumpy when he wakes up), so we were trying to keep him laughing. Litteraly a few seconds before we pulled into our yard, he was giggling. Then as soon as we got out of the car he started crying. I guess that's what a tired five year old looks like. We came inside and washed off all the mud and rain, then got nice and comfy in our PJ's :)

Looking forward to a new day tomorrow! Mom, dad, we all LOVE you and MISS you both SO much!!! We're counting down the days until you're all home!
